- Post-Frame Skeleton:Vertical posts (wood or steel) are spaced widely apart (typically 8′ to 12′) and buried 4’–6′ deep or anchored to concrete piers.
- No Load-Bearing Interior Walls:Because the exterior posts and roof trusses carry the entire load, the interior is a completely open “clear-span” space.
- Girts and Purlins:Horizontal boards (girts) connect the posts to support the siding, while horizontal roof boards (purlins) support the roofing panels.
